Yesterday my boyfriend and I celebrated our third anniversary. Many of our friends congratulated us through social media, including my step-aunt. Instead of just congratulating us though, she made a point of asking when we would be getting married. Now, I love my aunt, however she is a bit of an over-sharer when it comes to social media, and always asks personal questions both in person and online. It really bugs me! I don't want to be asked when I'm getting married, or when I'm going to have a baby, when I'm going to lose weight, or anything else like that! My boyfriend and I want to get married, but don't think we're at the right stage in our life yet where marriage is our priority (both of us are still in school). How can I let her know how uncomfortable these questions make me, and how I have no desire to answer these questions without upsetting her? I'm afraid that if I let her know, she'll get defensive and start a huge argument. Any suggestions for a polite, but firm way to let her know that my life choices and relationship are really none of her business?
