What I kind of hate about some DIY tutorials and t-shirt-surgeries is that sometimes it can all look so, er, homemade. Yes, that's nice and heartwarming when you're 8 and making macaroni cards for your sister (not complaining, sis), but there's nothing cute about wearing a "LOOK AT ME, I'M HOMEMADE" shirt that looks like your sixth grade home economics project.
